From points South on New York State Thruway From the thruway, take exit 21A (Berkshire Spur) for approximately 6 miles. Take Exit B1 (Hudson exit). Go through the toll booth. Take IMMEDIATE first exit (Exit 12). At the end of the ramp, take a left on to Route 9 going South. Travel on Route 9 South for 2.2 miles - you will come to a stop light. Continue on Route 9 South for another 2.2 miles. You will see the intersection of Route 9 and Route 9H. There is a fork in the road - stay to your left on Route 9. Travel 1.1 miles (you will go through one stop light at the Grand Union shopping mall) and you will approach a strip mall with a Cumberland Farms store on your left. As you approach the Cumberland Farms store, you will see the Valatie Medical Arts Building in front of you, and the signs will indicate "Route 203". Take a left turn at this intersection on to Main Street, Valatie. Take your second left on to Church Street (there will be a large black clock at the intersection of Church Street and Main Street.) Barnwell is 4 tenths of a mile up the road on the right hand side. Look for a 5 story brick building. Visitor parking is in the front parking lot. From the Mass Pike The Mass Pike ends at the welcome to New York sign. You are now on the Berkshire Spur section of the New York State thruway. Pass exits B3 and B2. Take exit B1 (Hudson exit). Follow directions as above. From points South on the Taconic State Parkway Take the Taconic State Parkway North to the Chatham/Spencertown Exit - Route 203. Take Route 203 toward Chatham. Go through the intersection with the light, and continue on Route 203 for approximately 6 miles in to the Village of Valatie. At the stop sign, turn left on to Main Street, Valatie. Take your second right on to Church Street (there is a large black clock at the intersection of Church Street and Main Street.) Barnwell is 4 tenths of a mile up the road on the right hand side. Look for a 5 story brick building. Visitor parking is in the front parking lot. North or South on NYS Thruway - Exit 21 - Catskill When exiting NYS Thruway, bear left toward Catskill. Turn left to Rip Van Winkle Bridge (just past overpass.) Cross bridge, bear left on Route 9G North to Hudson. Turn left by Volkswagen dealer (out of business) to Hudson. Go straight to 5th traffic light, turn right on to State Street. Go three blocks (2 stop signs) and cross over rail road tracks. At the next stop light, turn left on to Green Street - Route 23B (at the light there will be a Hess station on your right and Hudson city Center on your left.) Continue on Green Street to next full stop light. Take a left at the light on to Route 9 North. Follow directions below.** **From points South on Route 9 Follow Route 9 North for approximately 17 miles to the Village of Kinderhook. There is one light in the center of the Village of Kinderhook. Proceed through the light continuing on Route 9 North for 1.5 miles. You will approach an intersection (fork in the road), and the Valatie Medical Arts Building will be on your right. Signs will indicate the intersection of Route 203. At the intersection, bear to your right on to Main Street, Valatie. Take your second left on to Church Street (there is a large black clock at the intersection of Church Street and Main Street.) Barnwell is 4 tenths of a mile down the road on the right. Look for a 5 story brick building. Visitor parking is in the front parking lot. Coming from points North and West on I-90 Take I-90 East toward Boston to Exit 12 (Hudson exit) and turn right at the end of the exit ramp on to Route 9 South. Travel on Route 9 South for 2.2 miles. You will come to a traffic light. Continue straight through the light on Route 9 South for another 2.2 miles until you come to the intersection of Route 9 and Route 9H. There is a fork in the road there - stay to the left on Route 9.
