Sharps Collection Program Barnwell provides a free Sharps Collection Program to the community. Used household sharps such as needles, syringes and lancets can be delivered to the facility every Wednesday between 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm to the Infection Control Office or to Central Supply. Collection will not take place on holidays. Sharps brought to the facility must be delivered in a clean, puncture proof container, or in a container specifically designed for used sharps. "Sharps Containers" can be obtained at local pharmacies. Used sharps will only be accepted if they are delivered to the facility at the delivery time in an appropriate container.
